Crunch Time Already?
Father time, please slow down, seriously the time is flying people. I can’t believe its week 4, week four wow, lawd please help me. I’m still working in the dive den, but let me tell you my wedding is six days away, and I am freaking out. The “Diva Den” is on the back burner for the rest of this week, but Sunday I’m jumping right in and working some more. I promise I will do my best to finish this space, let me pray real hard that I even have the strength.
Porcelain Brick Tile for the Wall (sliding door pockets):
We decided to go with the faux brick, and I am so glad we did. The tile looks amazing; It looks realistic. My tiling skills were put to the test since it was the first time I ever tiled. I always knew I could tackle a tiling job, but I’m at the point where it’s just too much work. LOL, if I tiled on a daily basis, then maybe, but I don’t. For now, it turned out gorgeous, and I am proud of myself doing it. Here’s the secret, binge watch your favorite show, and this would be an excellent time to catch up on all the episodes you missed. I enjoy that show: “The Man in The High Castle,” it’s just amazing to see how things could have been (history). Back to tiling, let’s take a look at my tiling skills.
The diva den is coming along, let’s take a look at the progress so far.
So far, I completely forgot to take a pic of the before. But, I have a pic of the other wall.
Faux Porcelain Brick.
What the wall looks like before I installed the brick. It was originally gray.
Read what our original plans were here. I got into a rhythm and tiles for hours.
This pic shows the after, but before grout. It’s coming along; I can see my ideas come to life.
What do you think so far? We decided to paint the floor the same color as the tile, brown. We figured just in case we couldn’t get it tiled in time for the wedding.
We figured just in case we couldn’t get it tiled in time for the wedding. At least I still have some time after the wedding to put this together.
From another angle. Don’t mind the ceiling, that mess is gone. The floor is now painted brown.
I’ll share the details in week 5.
The Extra Work. It’s all in the details:
Malm Fireplace//Vintage Candy Cart//Backyard Ready
I scored a Red Malm fireplace a few months ago on #offerup, and I am so happy. The price was right for $300.00 bucks.
I couldn’t pass up a great deal. But, Red is not my color, so I decided to paint Turquoise, and now I’m considering White.
What color do you suggest? Check out #theblueranch on IG for more photos of our home.
In the meantime, our yard is getting a refresh. New mulch, plants and we got the jacuzzi filled with water and running.
I love stepping into HOT water! Thanks to my lovely wife, she’s such a wonderful human being.
My pretty candy cart, another #Offerup score.
Fast forward she’s already painted and ready to show off at our wedding Dinner Party Saturday.
Vintage candies, cake pops and more…Her name is Audrey; The Audrey Candy Cart.
